Honda Odyssey, redesigned in 2005 and given an exterior styling refresh for 2008, is rated by many reviewers as the best minivan on the market. A powerful 244-horsepower V6 engine with five-speed automatic transmission is standard across the lineup. Easily-configured seating can accommodate up to eight passengers. Though heavy, this van is satisfying to drive, with handling that matches many full-size sedans.
With a curb weight of nearly 4700 pounds, fuel efficiency of 16 city and 23 highway (17 and 25 with iVEC engine) the Honda Odyssey is different from most sport-utilities. As a high-powered, full-sized minivan, the Odyssey is capable of towing up to 3500 pounds and can carry up to 147 cubic feet of cargo and even with a full passenger load, there is space for 38 cubic feet of luggage.
